The beach and the neighbourhood
Kamaole Beach Park III has a wide lawn, picnic areas, lifeguards and calm swimming on most mornings, and it's a well-known spot for watching sunsets. Kamaole I and II are a short walk north along South Kihei Road. Restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and snorkel rentals are all close by, and Wailea's beaches are a short drive south. From December to April, humpback whales are often visible from the shoreline.
Getting to Kamaole Sands
Kamaole Sands is about a 30-minute drive from Kahului Airport (OGG). Most guests rent a car for the week. Seasonal nonstop flights to Kahului run from Vancouver, and in season also from Calgary and Edmonton, so getting here from Western Canada is simple. Schedules change, so check with the airline.
